feeding frenzy

A few years ago a collaborator of ours, John Nagy, filled the room when he gave a talk with “whales” in the title. National Geographic has now published photos of manta rays in a plankton feeding frenzy! What is the stoichiometry of manta rays? I think one of us has to step up to the line and find out. Oh, and just think of the size of the room we’d need for that talk.
