I know everyone is keen to have an update on Woodstoich 2009 in Japan!
The postdoc co-organizers worked hard to choose the participants from among many very qualified applicants. The postdocs are Nate Morehouse (USA; organizing a group on “Sex and Stoichiometry”), Angelica Gonzalez (Chile; organizing a group about stoichiometry and exotic / invasive species); Jonas Persson (Norway; organizing a group about stoichiometric aspects of consumer response to global change); and Hide Doi (Japan; organizing a group about stoichiometry and scaling).
The groups are hard at work and already beginning to sketch outlines of papers and decide on a research strategy. It promises to be a lot of hard work followed by a lot of fun in Japan. More later.
