Off to AGU: Elser lab is running a Phosphorus Special Session

Posted by Jim:

I’m off to the meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) in San Francisco today.  Amisha, Jess, and I are hosting a special session called “Phosphorus: from geochemistry to genomes to global sustainability”.  I’ll give a talk in the session (“Ocean’s 16:Optimal protein:RNA ratio has near Redfield nitrogen:phosphorus ratio”) and Jess has a poster about her work on nutrient limitation at Lake Atitlan (Guatemala).  Amisha will present some of her molecular work on Yellowstone hot springs in another session.  During the week we expect to see our colleagues Valeria Souza and Luis Eguiarte, among others.  Should be fun!
